Roku has managed to take over the world of household television entertainment as we know it—in my opinion of course. A “Roku” is small device that can attach to any television that has HDMI capabilities.

It allows the user to instantly connect to various streaming services such as Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, hulu, HBO Go and many more with an active internet connection. Now, every television set in the Manor is tied to a Roku streaming device, which means that I have access to some of the most popular streaming services in every room.

But did you know that a Roku can also be utilized on your mobile devices as well, such as a Smart Phone and/or tablet. By downloading the Roku Mobile app on your iOS or Android device, you have the ultimate streaming companion wherever you go.

One of my favorite features of the Roku mobile app is the remote technology. By using the Roku app on your iOS or Android device, you’ll be able to use your mobile device as a Roku remote for those times when you accidentally misplace the actual Roku remote—how cool!

I also love using the Roku mobile app when I’m on long road trips or in the public places likes restaurants or stores. I mean…some of us want to be entertained while waiting for our morning coffee as well. The Roku streaming device comes in a variation of sizes and features. And just recently, I was able to partner directly with the Roku company themselves to try out their newest Roku Streaming Stick®—a smaller version of the Roku device that is perfect for travel and lodging.

Due to my work and personal life, I’m always on the go. So, the Roku Streaming Stick® is perfect for any trip or vacation due to its small size and practicability. You can practically plug it into any HDMI-capable TV without worrying about wiring and searching for nearby outlets.

Due to the convenience of the streaming stick, I would say it’s my favorite Roku device so far. The capabilities are endless with this little device. One cool feature the device also houses is the Gust Mode feature, which allows guests to sign into their own streaming channels’ accounts using their credentials and login information. Guests can even specify the dates in which they plan on staying through the device’s platform.
