Mix and Mingle at NOVA
If you can point to me a blogger that doesn’t love food, I’ll point to you a liar. It seems these days I have traded in my passion for fashion, for a bit of passion for food. Recently I had the pleasure of sitting down at the very high-end restaurant called NOVA, located on Orange Ave, in Orlando FL. The restaurant itself has been open for sometime now, and I had the pleasure of meeting NOVA’s entire team. I was greeted by Kimberly Simeone Tessitore and the restaurant owner Mark Stillman once I had arrived. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very mature and inviting, but almost had a kind of high-end exclusive vibe, which I really liked. Everyone was dressed in business casual attire, which gave the indication that it was the perfect place for colleagues to mix and mingle at after the long hours of work. Once I had taken my seat, the amazing chef, Chef Val, greeted me. He explained to us his background and where his passion for cooking food with a mixture of different cultures came from. He explained which items on the menu were the most popular and what its ingredients consisted of, and moments later the food began to arrive! The first dish that had me practically drooling for more was the delicious Sesame-Crusted Calamari,

which is a starter on NOVA’s menu. The Calamari was cooked to a perfect crisp with accents of peppers scattered around the plate. Following the Calamari was the Ahi Tuna, a sesame-crusted ahi tuna with kimchi-fried rice, coconut-ginger curry, and vegetable stir-fry. Following that was the delicious Blackened Mahi, which is a special wasabi purple mixture of potato mash, roasted red pepper, ginger coulis, and garlic broccolini. The Duck Fat Fried Chicken was one of my favorites as well which was a sriracha buttermilk chicken with braised collards, smoked Gouda, and mac n’ cheese. And one of the restaurant’s most popular items the Lobster and Crab Ravioli, which is a combination of Lobster, organic spinach, tomatoes, and sherry cream. Everything on the menu was absolutely delicious, and left me wanting to swing the waiter around to order seconds. Make sure to book a reservation today at NOVA, and make sure to bring your taste buds with you as well– David Plowden, Mod’s Manor.
