Miami
Miami Miami Miami, what can I say other than I loved my trip to Miami. My trip to Miami was in celebration of the 21st Birthday, and it was the best way to end my Golden Birthday’s week. I decided to spend the weekend of my Birthday in Miami with just my Family. Once we had arrived we checked into the Hyatt Coral Gables. It was a beautiful hotel, and the way it was designed was inspired by Spain. From the high arch ways and the amazing paintings of Spanish painters. I decided to take a little stroll around the hotel before we began our journey into exploring Miami. Our first stop was Downtown Miami Beach. We decided to take a look around downtown Miami and stopped to have lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe. Once we had finished eating we took a stroll around downtown Miami Beach. The next day was packed with activities. First we took a trip to The Miami Everglades, which was amazing. I saw an array of different animals, but the most important of course were the alligators. The speed boat that took us around The Everglades was flying! Well it felt that way. Once we attempted to touch each corner of the Everglades we got to sit down and view an animal show that was previously set up for us. I saw a Man place his head into an alligator’s mouth. As well, numerous other animals were on display. After the trip to The Everglades was over, I had something special planned for the night. That night we went to South Beach to have dinner at the Versace Mansion, yes Gianni Versace’s Mansion. It was an amazing experience. The waiter told use stories of Gianni and how he met his demise, he informed us of the many parties that are hosted at his house and all the amazing people he has met along the way. It was a perfect way to end my trip to Miami, and the next time I go, I will be sure to spend an evening eating there again. – David Plowden, Mod’s Manor.
