Food Tasting at Firehouse Subs
If there’s one thing I love the most about Central Florida it’s the large assortment of food spots…specifically speaking—Firehouse Subs. Recently, I took my empty stomach to a delightful food tasting at one of the most delicious sub spots in Florida. Firehouse Subs, which originated in Jacksonville, Florida, has more than 1,155 restaurants across the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. As I made my way into sub heaven, I was immediately greeted by the Lake Mary, Florida location’s franchise owner.
The restaurant was heavily decorated with firefighter gear and decor, along with beautiful paintings and firehouse murals around the walls. Firehouse Subs makes it their responsibility to stay in tune with the heart of their history and brand by giving back to local first responders and public safety organizations across the country through the non-profit Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation. The firefighting heritage is basically embedded in their history and present in all of the restaurant’s locations. Did you know that a portion of every sale made at the restaurants goes to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation? As I took a seat, I was instantly embellished by a plethora of delicious, freshly-made sub sandwiches. Their newest sub—the Spicy Cajun Chicken Sub—was my absolute favorite. It contained a great balance of Cajun seasoning and zesty peppers to give it that much needed kick.
Along with mayo, melted Pepper Jack cheese and all the lettuce and tomatoes one needs in a sub, I can almost guarantee you that the Spicy Cajun Chicken Sub will definitely make it on my lunch menu for the coming days.
Along with the delicious Cajun Chicken sub option were the Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket, the Italian and a fan-favorite, the Hook & Ladder. Also, along with the mouth-watering sub sandwiches were loaded chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin cookies. Oh…my stomach had a ball that day. One thing that I also found intriguing at Firehouse Subs was their list of convenient food ordering and pick up options.
Firehouse Subs partners with multiple food ordering mobile applications such as Uber Eats, Postmates and more. This allows their customers to order, pay and pickup their food with ease. Firehouse Subs also offers catering options for large quantities as well. There’s no better way to impress your colleagues then gifting them with delicious subs—I’m speaking from experience here.
