On March 25th, Visit Orlando hosted their very first virtual showcase right here in Orlando Florida. I was tapped to spearhead their food segment, and I could barely express in words how excited I was about the opportunity, especially because I’ve covered the likes of Orlando for years. From theme-parks, fashion shows, restaurants, malls, and food…I think I’ve covered just about every facet of The Big O. The Wonder Awaits You showcase was comprised of 4 segments, each covering a branch of the tourism scene in Orlando, and it was hosted by broadcast journalist Sonni Abatta.

Universal, Disney, and Gator Land were just a few entities that were represented, and it was my job to tackle Orlando’s culinary arts. I decided to break the food segment up into 4 pieces(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Dessert). I picked 4 of my favorite restaurants in Central Florida and decided to showcase some of their most popular menu items. The Visit Orlando team assisted in coordinating with the restaurants, and a full video team worked on shooting, editing, and ultimately bringing my vision to life.
