There’s a new hotspot in Downtown Orlando, and they’re mixing Asian delicacies with a spicy Latin twist. El Buda, located on the hottest street of Downtown Orlando—Church Street—is bringing a new spin to what our taste buds are used to. Just recently, I had the pleasure of indulging in two food tasting sessions where I was able to try some of their newly released items on their menus. The Bento Box—which has a little bit of everything in my opinion—rice, egg rolls and your choice or chicken or beef was one of my favorite items on the menu. Now…everyone knows how much I adore meat—sorry my vegetarian readers—so when I discovered the delectable pork bellies that were so graciously staring back at me, I just had to indulge.

Craft cocktails that contain both Asian and Latin spices and mixes were fairly interesting and incredibly delicious! I decided to pretend I was James Bond for the night and lounged around their underground wine cellar—which doubles as a private event venue as well.What’s better than having Asian and Latin food at the same time then also eating and drinking it all while in an underground wine cellar! Amazing! However, with all of the spectacular combinations of food the restaurant had to offer, there’s one asset of EL Buda’s that definitely separates it from the rest of the plethora of restaurants in Downtown Orlando. Food Network personality Chef Roberto Trevino is the founder, owner and chef of this downtown gold mine. With countless number of accomplishments in the food industry under his belt, it was definitely a breath of fresh air for someone of his stature to bring his expertise to The Big O.
