Gawk as I sit in the Lap of Luxury . . . for only a few days at least. Recently, I had the pleasure of tagging along with one of my favorite Lifestyle Bloggers in Central Florida, Annie A to Z, to experience an amazing stay at the Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, located in Orlando Florida by Universal Studios. One word people . . . AMAZING! The hotel’s design is inspired by the gorgeous country Italy, with Venice accents all throughout its landscape. This mini-vacation actually felt like I traveled across the entire globe, when I really was only a mere 30 miles from my home. The way Loews Portofino Bay managed to mimic and replicate Europe’s essence was outstanding. My first night there was spent sipping wine, tasting amazing Italian dishes, and mingling with a few other Bloggers at Harbor Nights.

Harbor Nights is an annual event the hotel throws in its outside quarters between the west and east wings. Tables, chairs, glasses of wine, and tons of servers were all scattered about awaiting the their guests appearances.

With a stomach filled of Chardonnay and pasta, I had an amazing sleep in one of Loews Portofino’s amazing suites. The rooms were spectacular and dawned Italian styled balconies that looked over a gorgeous lake placed in the center of the hotel. Our next day was spent touring the many depth of Loews Portofino and capturing some of its amazing spots. The hotel’s walls were painted in an architectural style manner, which displayed the intricacy that went into every stroke. We couldn’t help but snap a few shots of the amazing view.

The next day . . . and this was an exciting one, was spent at the amazing Universal Studios and Island of Adventure located in Orlando Florida. Florida, of course, is best known for its amazing tourist locations, and this particular spot did not disappoint. Since Loews Portofino Bay is located literally adjacent to Universal Studios, we only had to take a short ride on a water taxi to get there. The ride was very tranquil and beautiful, and it allowed me to really take in the beauty of the Loews Portofino Bay hotel.

Once we arrived at Universal, the adventure was on . . . No literally, the first stop was Islands of Adventure. I explored the corners of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and I even purchased a magical wand from Diagon Alley inside Universal!

If our amazing time at Universal wasn’t sweet enough, I decided to spoil my sweet tooth just a bit more as we made our way over to Toothsome’s Chocolate Emporium, located inside of City Walk. Chocolate here . . . Chocolate there . . . Chocolate was everywhere!  From chocolate martinis and margaritas, to chocolate deserts, Toothsome’s Chocolate Emporium was simply to die for.
